Tinny detailed drawings in a geometric design on a perfectly shaped piece of ceramic.

About the artist:

She creates such an intricate array of perfectly geometrical lines that they even make tricks with your eyes. She usually divides the round surface in three parts and repeats the same design on each one including animal designs like fishes or lizards similar to the ones painted by her father Hector Gallegos who started to pot in the 70´s.

The vessels that she paints are made with white clay by her mother Graciela Gallegos who forms extraordinary thin and delicate pieces on different shapes.

Over the years, Miriham has won many first prizes in the annual Mata Ortiz Contest and exhibited her pieces in very important galleries in the United States.
