When the piece is still humid he makes little holes on the surface in perfect arrangement then when the piece is dry he gets an amazing shin gotten by applying graphite on the surface.

About the artist:

Following the family tradition on making black, burnished and incised pieces he learned from his father Reynaldo Quezada (brother of Juan Quezada, the master). So he has been doing pottery since he was very young for more tan 20 years.  They also burnish the pieces with graphite to get a beautiful metallic look.

 

Now he forms a team with his wife Rocio who has proven to be a very gifted artist too.
