About the artist:

Lila has for many years been considered one of the most talented artists in Mata Ortiz. She learned directly from Juan Quezada, the master, who taught her the whole process of the pottery making, from digging out the clay, refine it, form the pieces with the coil method, sand and paint the flowing designs that she learned very well and fire them.

Her eagerness for perfection has take her to many places in Mexico, United States and was chosen for a pottery tour in France.
