About the artist

Like many second generations of potters, he learned pottery art from other talented artists, in his case his teachers were Manuel Rodriguez and Martin Cota (by 1993).  He usually works on matte surface pieces painting cross-stitch motifs on elegant tall pots with different mouths.  His wife Ivonne Olivas is another talented and recognized potter, and they work as a team.
