About the artist:

Ivan, now in his twenties, learned very well to do pottery from his parents José and Susy Martinez. He forms thin-walled bases on elegant shapes which he polishes thoroughly until he gets a very shiny surface in which he paints very intricate geometrical designs black on black or he makes dramatic cuts on the pot to get very modern shapes
