About the artist:

She was born in Mata Ortiz in 1979 and learned from her parents to do pottery by helping them. When she was 17 years old she started to do her own work.  She and her husband Efrain Lucero Jr., also a very talented potter, make a very successful teamwork.

She usually covers the piece with graphite to get a fantastic metallic shin and over it, she paints and carves the most amazing nature designs.
