Amazing piece of ceramic beautifully carved with dragonflies. She applies graphite to the piece first and then paints tinny forms leaving a llittle space between them and then carves the dragonflies hightlights.

About the artist:

She was born in Mata Ortiz in 1979 and learned from her parents to do pottery by helping them. When she was 17 years old she started to do her own  works.  She and her husbands Efrain Lucero Jr., also a very talented potter make a very successful team work.

She usually covers the piece with graphite to get a fantastic metallic shin and over it she paints and carves the most amazing animal designs.
