About the artist

At the age of 13, she learned to do pottery directly from the master Juan Quezada, her uncle. Ivonne paints white circular designs leaving intriguing blank spaces on very elegant black, brown, or red vessels. The same drawing is copied three times on the surface and, on a second look from the top of the piece a spiral shape is found around a cut lip shape.
