About the artist

He belongs to the third generation of potters, his grandmother was Consolacion Quezada, sister of Juan Quezada so he has been surrounded by the beauty of pottery all his life. At age 13 he started to do his own works: carving beautiful designs of flowers, birds and nature surrounding them. Lately he has specialized in the Day of the Dead designs which turn the sadness of death into dancing and playing instruments skeletons. He also carves names of important potters who have already died onto the pieces as a tribute to their lives.
