Hector Gallegos Jr.

    Hector learned to do pottery from his parents Hector and Graciela Gallegos who are very talented first generation potters in Mata Ortiz, but soon enough he followed his own path by painting realistic countryside sceneries with wild animals and the flora of the region.

    He also works in collaboration with Laura Bugarini, his wife, painting and carving pieces that show the two different styles of these outstanding artists.

    He has exhibited in the Southwest Museum in Los Angeles, CA., The Museum of Man in San Diego, CA., the National Museum of Folk Art in Mexico City and in important galleries of Mexico and United States.
